'A World of Winnie-the-Pooh' brings together a specially selected collection of stories from 'Winnie- the- Pooh' and 'The House at Pooh Corner' and some of the most popular verse from A.A. Milne's collections for children, 'When We Were Very Young' and 'Now We Are six'. Here we are introduced to Winnie- the Pooh and his friends Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo, Owl and Christopher Robin. Pooh's world is reflected in Milne's nursery verse where Pooh and Christopher Robin are forever playing.
The characters in the stories are based upon the real nursery toys which belonged to A.A. Milne's son, Christopher Robin, and their adventures are set down in Ashdown Forest where the family lived. The artist E.H. Sheppard lovingly drew the forest and the toys, and the places he drew can still be seen today.
